If you haven't played FF7, it's pretty pointless to watch the movie. But oh, well, I guess you could watch it for the eye candy, but you'll be clueless as to the relationship between the 2 main characters.

Last I read (in Gamespot, I think), one of the producers admitted that the trailer footage was stricktly promotional and not a single frame would appear in the actual feature.
