I had to laugh at the "Based on the True Story." What complete bullshit.

That said, looks interesting. I am getting a little weary of these legendary epics being "reimagined" to included a "girls kick ass" character, though.

Agreed, but I'm not gonna complain. Especially considering the girl in question is Keira Knightley.

Well, judging by the trailer, it looks like non-stop action which I sincerely hope its not. But then its Bruckheimer, so you never know.

If I can look at Keira during the film and picture me with her and a can of whipped cream, it's a sale.

So, when we hear the sound of *fssshhht* in a theater - without the stench - it'll be you?
Keira is looking HOT!! i almost missed it in the trailer, but the guy who played Will Scarlet in the Robin of Sherwood series is in this too.

You're wrong.

Something many people don't realize is exactly HOW advanced the Romans were at the decline of their civilization. The 1000 years after the fall of Rome was called "the dark age" for a reason. Armor technology in 400 A.D. was nearly as advanced as it was in 1400 A.D. (except for a few key locations with advanced metallurgy). War technology was stagnant for until at least 1000 A.D., and only then picked up with better archery until the widespread usage of steels soon after.

But as far as the movie goes, it looks kinda lame. I'll probably see it anyway, though.

I had just hoped that a movie about the Arthur legend could have been a sweeping epic, and not just another action flick.
In all fairness, the movie is still in post-production . . . we don't really know what it's going to be . . .

I wondered about that too. The official site for the movie seems to take it seriously and, after a little research, there seems to be a roman soldier named Lucius Artorius Castus that played a key role in the Roman occupation at Hadiran's Wall and appears to be accepted by some people as a possible source for some of the Arthurian legend. Check out the official site . . . here . . . the "advanced trailer" is actually pretty cool.

One thing is for sure though . . . this isn't going to be the typical, romanticized, faerie tale version of King Arthur . . .

Eh, looks like a bunch of dull battles.

Am I the only one that's bored with long skirmishes, the results of which we already can predict before the first blow/shot is dealt/fired?

What they've done with the Enhanced trailer is kind of cool.
