add mine to that opinion as well...

He just seemed like a useless man to me. We already had a man, and he was going to be king, that's like, so much better :)

it wasn't until the EE of TTT that i fully appreciated boromir. now, when i watch his death scene, it almost gets me...before, that wasn't a terribly dramatic moment for me.
as for ROTK, my second time through, i spend most of the latter half of the film holding back the waterworks. moments that come to mind: the beacon lighting scene is where it all starts for me. something about the scope, the score, and most of all, the payoff..."rohan will answer" faramir's charge the roharrim arriving at gondor theoden's death i can carry you. the eagles you bow to no one. moments that didn't resonate with me: for frodo...i really miss the whole mouth of sauron bit i am no man...stop posing and kill him already pillow fight...:headscratch: grey havens...a bit over the top |
Yes, as I said earlier, I can see his worth now, but at the time he just seemed like some boring guy they threw in because all the other characters were too "cool" to die and they needed them for the rest of the story.

I didn't cry.
