Because you are asking about the actual movie and not the dvd.

And if you added the comment that you thought the DVD had great chapter stops you could post it in the DVD Reviews and Recommendations forum.

Now that we've got the requisite "New Member you posted in the wrong forum" stuff out of the way.....Yes, it is an awesome animated flick. Definitely a favorite. Sid the Sloth made the movie!

I totally agree with you on this film. It was one of the top animated films ever. The Audio/Video was great and Sid the sloth was the best character in the movie. I hope no one decides to make a sequel in the future though.

It's got heart!

I thought it has all the heart that has magically gone out of Disney features with adolescent claptrap like "Atlantis". I found it beautiful and touching. Even made me like Romano and Leguizamo, whom I do not like individually.

I am glad that there weren't any songs to drag the movie down, like in Disney's latest "Brother Bear"

"Tell everybody I'm on my way.... " ("aaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!! my ears, my ears" - runs out of theatre)

I was all ready not to like this movie but when I saw it, I was laughing my ice off...

Honestly, it was better than I thought it would be. I loved Scrat! I'm looking forward to sequel.

I lot of people I talk to (even the girls) don't really care for this movie. I personally like it. Although in theme it's a lot like Monsters Inc., I feel it has a personality all its own. I actually like the highly stylized look.

I think Monster's Inc. had a better premise but I enjoyed the characters in Ice Age more. I had a good time watching Ice Age with my 4 yr old nephew recently.

It certainly doesn't compare with the realism of Finding Nemo. But, I don't think it's TRYING to be set in the "real world." The designs are highly stylized like a cartoon. Sometimes it reminds me of paintings of a certain style.

Story-wise it uses a similar gimmick as Monsters Inc. but with enough differences to set it apart. I'd say it has a similar "heart."

I'd say "Ice Age" runs a close second to Pixar's output, in terms of quality of animation and story. I certainly liked it better than any of PDI's films.
