Kill Bill Action Figures in 2004

Yeah that sucks.
It's gonna go for a killing on Ebay. I'm stuck waiting for my Amazon preorders to come through for The Bride and the Bald 88.
Any place online that has the current batch/figures in stock?

Quentin Tarantino stars as "Crazy 88 Director"!
Okay all you Kill Bill fans, slip in Volume 1's soundtrack and skip to track 9: Tomoyasu Hotei's "Battle Without Honor or Humanity." You can almost see O-Ren Ishii, Gogo and their katana-clad posse marching in from behind - the Crazy 88's; actors Tetsuro Shimaguchi, Kazuki Kitamura, Quentin Tarantino... wait, rewind, QUENTIN TARANTINO?
Gotcha! Alright, so he didn't star as a Crazy 88 in his fourth action packed motion picture, but he DID dress like one while directing Volume 1. It's that iconic image of Tarantino that will become a summer Con exclusive action figure thanks to the collectible company NECA.
Randy Falk, the Product Developer of NECA, explained in one of our recent interviews that "the origin of that idea is very often, (Tarantino) will dress in the garb for the scenes they are filming that day. Like the scene in the beginning where the Bride's in a coma in the hospital, we've seen pictures of Quentin wearing surgical scrubs. So, when he filmed the showdown at the House of Blue Leaves, he was wearing a black suit, tie and white shirt, like the Crazy 88s... When we saw that, the idea just clicked."
The "Crazy 88 Director" action figure, sculpted by Ray Santoleri, will be made available at both San Diego Comic Con (July 22-25) and Wizard World Chicago (August 13-15). It will be a limited edition piece, though the production run (for both shows) has yet to be determined. Styled to connect with the rest of NECA's Kill Bill action figures - the Crazy 88 Director figure will include a removable mask and limbs, katana sword, axe and a House of Blue Leaves display base with a new blood deco. Yup, now you can pit Uma against Quentin!
Asked what Quentin Tarantino thinks of "his" new action figure, Randy states "He saw it when we submitted it for approval and his office replied 'He LOVES it!'"
The "Crazy 88 Director" exclusive will retail for $15 each and will come sealed in a rugged clam shell blister. Check out the very retro cool-looking art on the packs side sleeve (see below) courtesy of NECA Graphic Designer Nicolle Puzzo.
Unfortunately, as of now, NECA does not have plans to offer this figure through their online club(s). NECA, however, is working on a way to offer this figure in Europe in limited quantities for the collectors outside the U.S. who wish to obtain one.

That Tarantino one looks like it has a better head sculpt than the others, it looks pretty good. I would love to get that, but won't be anywhere near those conventions and don't want to pay a crazy Ebay price for it. Damn.

I think I'll still buy a case of series 1 even without O-Ren. I'm a sucker for variants.

After looking for these ever since they were mentioned i finally tracked them down today at a local comic book store. I was able to snag up The Bride for $12.99 and Go-Go for $8.99, no Crazy 88's. Anyway, why is Go-Go so ugly looking in the face, that aint cool!

Did you not see kill bill? Go Go has always been a bit ugly with that huge nose. It's the school girl outfit that draws your eyes to her.
they'be pretty much hit all over the place now. Got my shipments already.
