Something Wicked This Way Comes..First Azkaban Trailer!!

No need to pay the $7 to see it tomorrow (although the Looney Tunes film looks to be amusing on DVD)

Here's the link to the first Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Trailer:

Can't wait....Curaron should direct circles around Chris Columbus IMHO and this is my favorite Potter novel

gambon looks excellent as dumbledore. sirius is not what i expected him to look like but i'm sure oldman will do perfectly. this is also my fav. book and it looks to be wonderful at the hand of curaron.

There are a couple of quick shots of Lupin in the trailer. Click the following links to see screens of him from the trailer:

the new dumbledore looks great, but at least in that sample didn't have the same wheezy aspect of the voice that dumbledore used to have.

The movie looks great though.

Thanks for the link!

This is the only book I've only read once (well haven't read Phoenix twice yet). This trailer makes me want to pull out the audio cds I got recently and listen to this over my Thanksgiving journeys!!!!

As I predicted, this looks like it will stomp the shit out of and bury the first two films. Not only is Cuaron twice the director Columbus is, but the novel itself is the best story of the series to that point.

Nice cameo by the Nazgûl, too.

I don't know why but those winter/snow scenes look really neat. Can't wait to see it.

I agree - this looks liike it will be the best movie so far. I'm actually anticipating it, whereas with the first two - I just said "I guess I gotta see it..."

As my favorite book in the series (and Black may be my favorite character...), I dread the things they must have cut out to keep the running time down.

I'll worry more about the cuts in the fourth book.

Actually, I think cuts are good - gives more time to make a GOOD movie on what is left, and the cuts allow one to go READ THE DARN BOOK to see the other details.

I think fanatical devotion to showing as much as possible of the first two books is what destroyed some of the possible "magic" that the movies could have shown.

I agree. This is exactly how I feel. I thought they looked good, and I knew I'd enjoy them, but this one looks incredibly and I just have to see it.

I'm actually excited to see what Michael Gambon does with the part. As much as I loved Richard Harris as Dumbledore, I always felt that he played the part a little too old and frail. Especially after reading the fifth book and all Dumbledore does in that one.
