Question about Pulp Fiction.
1)Why did Jules and Vincent keep Marvin alive at the apartment and took him with them? Was he part of their "click"?
2)When J&V arrive at Jimmy's house, Jimmy panics and frantically asks what they are going to do about the "Dead ******" in his garage. I notice Jimmy refers to Marvin as a ****** more than once, indicating he somewhat of a racist and doesn't care too much about colored folks. Yet when Jules is speaking to Marcellas on the phone describing to him what they don't want to happen, we are shown a hypothetical scenario where we see Bonnie come home to catch the guys red handed. According to what we are shown, and If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Bonnie, Jimmy's wife, black? I thought that was somewhat umm...interesting. Any thoughts?
3)When Jules is talking to Marcellas on the phone during that same scene, is that Uma Thurman that accompanies him near the pool side dressed up in a bathing suit and shades and holding a cigarette?

1) I believe that Jules did know Marvin b/c Vincent asks Jules what his name is and tells him to shut up. Or, they may have just spared him. I'm not quite sure at this point.
2) It looked to me that Bonnie was of some sort of Asian descent.
3) I think so.
Although I just watched this film again the other day, these are a few details I didn't pay close attn to. (Only my third time seeing it), but I enjoy it more every time I watch it. Great film.

1. Yes, Marvin worked for Marcellus and was part of the gang (albeit a lower-level member).
2. Your assumption about Jimmy being racist is wrong, and yes his wife is black. If he was racist, Jules wouldn't be his friend and undoubtedly would have shot him for using the "n'" word.
3. Yes.

Mr. Salty beat me to it. He's right. At the beginning of the film, Vincent even refers to Marvin as "our guy". But he was at the bottom level and expendable ("nobody who'll be missed"). Also, I always thought that the pool scene with Marcellus looked like a nod to a similar scene in El Mariachi.

In Pulp Fiction, the term *********** isn't used to refer specificly to race, just subjegate whoever it is being hurled at. Jules uses that term to refer to Marvin, 'Let's go ***********, come on." Marselluse uses it to Butch, "You my ***********?".
Also notice that when Jules talks on the phone to Marselluse, the boss of everyone, he says "Shit negro, that's all you had to say."

Jules and Jimmy used to be partners, much like Jules and Vincent are now.
Which, if QT ever makes a Vega Brothers prequel movie, it might be funny to see Jimmy and Jules working together.
And, Jimmy's wife, Bonnie, is also very likely the same nurse mentioned in a cut scene from "Reservoir Dogs."
