Revisiting Tarantino

I apologize for boring everyone with this but since Best Buy was running a promotion on Quentin's movies I decided to watch them again (havent in a few years). These movies are so much fun to discuss and I caught a few things that I had questions and comments on that I never noticed before.

1. The 74 Nova that Marvin was shot in, was that the same car that Tim Roth was in in resevoir dogs when he was shot?

2. There was a interview with a director from the "Class of 92 that was wearing a "Who Shot Nice Guy Eddie" T-shirt. The answer to that question is supposed to be on the back but I could not find that T-Shirt for sale anywhere and I was wondering what the going theory on that of if somone knows what is on the back of the shirt.

3. Is the cafe that is being robbed in PF the same cafe that Tim Roth meets his partner in RD?

4. Does anyone eles think its funny that Lawrence Bender will be producing the new Dirty Dancing movie. Maybee somone will get there ear cut off in this one. heh

5. I saw this movie the other night called "Dancing at the Blue Iguana" there is a scene where Daryl Hannah gets her purse searched and she has a "Bad Mother ****er" wallet. She mentions that it is from PF and that it revived Travoltas Career. heh

I had more coments but I forgot them cuz im at work now.

Sometimes directors use the same type of things. Sam Raimi uses the same old beat up car in all his films. just a signiture item of the directors.

I'm willing to say no. it might have the same old time look but the door is placed different then what I remember the door to be in Pulp Fiction,

Movie talk would benefit from this thread since it's more about the movie and not the dvd.

You're talking about things in Tarantino's movies, not any features specific to the DVDs (picture quality, special features, and so on). Moving to Movie Talk.

Well I moved on now to the features for Pulp Fiction.

Bruce Willis and Samual Jackson have powers.

ie.: Bruce during a impromptu interview by Quentin with a video cam remarks that somday some kid is gonna make a video tape movie for a few thousand bux and it will be a big hit.

Mr. Jackson tells Mike Moore that he will get his award someday during an interview at the independant spirit awards.

Coincidence? I don't think so... LOL

I noticed that part too. But it had already happened. Rodriguez did it for 7 thousand before they even made pulp fiction, then a few years later the blair witch thing hit. Even though blair witch spent 20,000 more then rodriguez.

Ya but was El Mariachi Film?

I know that OUAT in Mexico is Digital but I thought El Mariachi was done on film. Was it done on video then transfered over?

Bruce was specifically remarking about him using a video camera, at that time probably a high 8 since thats what he used for the deleted scene where mia interviews vince.

Another thing does anyone know what was going on in the Cannes Acceptance Speach, where Qentin flipped somone in the audience off?

I cant tell if you're being sarcastic. I'm assuming you are. Blair Witch made more money, butwhat ever happened to the blair witch guys? Or their cast? And now look where rodriguez is.

I'd personally much rather have el marachi then the blair witch any day.

good point...i was being a dick earlier, so yes, it was sarcasm. But this point you are making now clears it up better. I was just saying that el mariachi didn't make much money and still isn't known by the avg. moviegoer. but rodriguez is the man! anybody see in the credits of kill bill at the end in his "special thanks" section he thanks: "Robert Rodriguez : My Brother"

Well QT and Rodriguez we up in the same independant films at the same time and feed off each other. the idea of Once Upon A Time in Mexico was suggested by QT.

"The car is Quentin's, and yes, it is the same."

I finnaly got to the trivia track for the movie, man that was a goldmine, just like pop up video, and they mentioned that the car is the same car. I guess the malibu is his too.

Also, and this is really funny, during the trivia track they mention the same conversation with Bruce Willis and cite the Blair Witch Project as a direct example of his predictions. LOL
