So Britney Spears wants to star in.....

X3?

Taken from Dark Horizons:

"British magazine New indicates Britney Spears has been eagerly eyeing a role in the next installment of the X-Men franchise."

Thank god we all know this won't happen, although it would be cool to have a villain that could poke your eyes out with her nipples.

If she used her natural brown hair color and Louisiana/Southern accent, she could probably have actually played Rogue. She'd certainly fit the suit better than Anna Paquin.

Why not? She could easily be the Dazzler.

Read her origin.

She'd probably insist to lip synch her lines or do a voice over to hide the fact that she can't do two things at once.

I wouldn't mind seeing her in the movie.

Funny that you should bring up the very obscure (to me at least) Dazzler character. Last Thursday on Howard Stern, Daryl Hannah mentioned the Dazzler while discussing comic books and no body knew what she was talking about. I'd wager that if she's aware of this character it's because there is casting underway for this part. Just a guess.

I couldn't agree more.

However, if they wait for the Dazzler movie much longer, I would go with Hillary Duff to play our favorite musical mutant.

Mystique could morph into her as a gag. I don't mean that as a joke. That is probably the closest she will get to being in the movie.

She would be a great Dazzler though.

I actually don't think she'd be any worse then Anna in the role. Not that Anna was bad, but its not like she was particularly great either. At least Britney seems a bit closer to the Rogue in the comics as far as sex appeal

Personally, I was shocked to see Anna Paquin as Rogue. For one thing, I thought Rogue was older. Anyway, I thought she sucked.

the films have very little following to the comic stories. a lot of characters are missing and a lot of the relations are not there. Wolvie never new of sabertooth before the battle, etc. etc.

I remember Shaq wanted to be in X2, but wasn't. Just because an non-actor wants to be in a film means they won't. I trust Singers, Fox's, and Avi Arads decision in casting.

But why doesn't Spears just do porn already...

I want to be in X3 also, but I'm not holding my breath. I think me an Britney's chances of being in it are about the same, the only difference being that she can probably talk to someone actually involved in the decision.

Britney is just a little too young to be Emma Frost, isn't she? I always pictured Sharon Stone, but she's a too old now. Maybe have Rebecca Romijn play both Emma Frost & Mystique.

Don't know much about any of the characters mentioned here, but looking to bridge the age gap mentioned above(Britney-Sharon Stone), here are a couple(there are a handful more, I am just drawing a blank right now):

Maria Bello

Estella Warren
