Left Behind part deux: the search for people who can act.

They probably spend half of thier $1000 budget on Kirk Cameron.

The Terminator sequels...while enjoyable really dont make a whole lot of sense given the context of time travel and the idea of sending a human back to defend against a terminator in the first one, yet they send back terminators in the next two...anyway, time travel and sequels dont mix.

Although I think Bernie's gets the crown...I have not seen the second one though.

Well, if the story never ends shouldn't they have to keep making movies to keep on telling it?

Have you ever heard of the movie Turbulence starring Ray Liotta and Lauren Holly? It's a bad plane movie that bombed at the box office. Somehow, someway, that movie spawned two sequels with no returning cast members. I did see part of Turbulence 3. Worst movie ever.

2010: The Year We Make Contact was based on the sequel novel that Arthur C. Clarke wrote, so it shouldn't be that surprising. It definately would be nigh-impossible to make a sequel up to the standards of 2001: A Space Odessey, but I don't think it was unthinkable since there was source material by the original author.

I guess its a staple of modern cinema...airplane disaster movies.

I have to add Home Alone. I realize it's box office success ensured there would a sequel, but come on... After the events of the first one you think they'd let Macauley out of their sight ever again? That kid would be on a frickin' leash! Not to mention how utterly ridiculous it is that he happened to run into the Wet Bandits yet again, and had access to a house to get pursued through, conveniently filled with potential boobie traps. The movie in and of itself isn't *that* bad, but the idea it exists is pretty ridiculous.

But, was 2001 not a Kubrick collaboration piece? It's not like it was a well known novel before the movie, if i'm not mistaken, it debuted AFTER the movie.

I just watched it recently, and some love it, some hate it, I'm one of the former, and I just can't imagine having anything more to say after that last shot. That was why I was so shocked by the sequel.

Although the first was great and because of that I will see the sequel : The Oceans Eleven (2001) sequel seems a little farfetched. After all, the first plot to rob the casinos was so masterful that anything in comparison will probably be over the top in an attempt to compete with the first. Also, with Clooney and Pitts characters now being closely followed by Benedicts crew, how would they or anyone assoc. with them be able to pull off the magic again. a smell potential disaster. Besides, the name is gonna be stupid whether its Oceans 12 or even worse Oceans Eleven 2.

Whats sad is that the series didnt end with the downfall of the Macauley Culkin...no no..two other movies that (i guess) follow the same plot as the first movie.

The series should die...NOW!

Oceans Eleven 2....why does that sounds like some sort of secret password?

A sequel to "The Whole Nine Yards".. the first one was okay, but a sequel is so unnecessary

JAWS 2 - Even though it was a decent sequel, the odds of another gigantic shark attacking the same beach is like lightning striking twice in the same place.

It's actually going to be called Ocean's Twelve. I'm waiting for Ocean's Fifteen before I make a commitment (since fifteen is more, and more means better).

I'm watching Damien: The Omen II as I type this, and I keep thinking about The Omen IV. What an absurd idea for a movie. I was hoping to be the one to get to say it, but I guess you beat me to it.

I'll add Carrie 2: The Rage.
Spoiler:
Carrie's absent dad impregnates another woman 20 years down the line and she also flips out with telekentic powers? That's not quite as bad as Jaws 4, but it's up there.

And my personal favorite, The Exorcist II: The Heretic.
Spoiler:
Reagen gets repossessed and only hypnotism and a trip to Africa can save her? Good grief.
This is my personal favorite bad sequel, highlighted by the immortal line where Richard Burton, a priest, says, "You've just proven scientifically that Reagen is possessed by the devil!"

I can't believe nobody's mentioned The Neverending Story.
The Neverending Story II is the most unintentionally funny title in the history of cinema.
