UNDER TUSCAN SUN - Is it really greatest comedy-romance of millenium?

Some critics are calling the new Diane Lane movie "the best comedy romance of the new millenium".

While I thought the movie was great... what do you guys think.

A poll is attached.

Thanks.

Uh, it's an okay movie.

I haven't heard any critic call this "the best comedy romance of the new millenium," though.

And I can't imagine any would.

I thought it was enjoyable, but nothing truly memorable.

I think any critic who'd make a comment like that is probably a "quote whore", i.e. they purposely make blurb-ready statemnets in their reviews so they can get their name on movie ads.

That doesn't surprise me.

There are stupid quotes made about every movie out there, good or bad or mediocre... I wouldn't put any particular stock in this one.

Yes. I agree. It's a quality movie but THE BEST of the millenium is a going a bit far.

It's a shame that people are just dismissing it. It's doing well at the box office but it's still only in a few cinemas. I don't know why Touchstone/Disney aren't pushing it more?

It deserves to find an audience because a good movie is a good movie regardless of genre. And this IS a good movie IMHO.

Someone made the same observation in a previous thread, but it mysteriously disappeared!

Call me strange, but I usually try to avoid eating sweaty cotton candy.

I saw "Tuscan" and I liked it. Although by the time I walked out I coulda swore I sprouted a pair of ovaries by the film's end.
