NJ residents See Grease and Jaws on "The Big Screen"
On Oct. 18th these movies will be shown ala double feature at the Ritacco Center in Toms River for only $10.
See here: http://www.ritaccocenter.com/images/oval_event_4.jpg
I was born just after Jaws was released so it will be great to finally see it on the big screen.

Actually the movies will be played in an auditorium style theater. The desired effect is a drive-in experience.
Check out this article for info on a new Drive-in theater being proposed in Wall township:

Sadly, drive-ins in NJ have gone the way of the dodo.

And if you are interested, there are 2 just outside northern NJ, one in Warwick NY( www.warwickdrivein.com ) and also one in Pennslyvania that escapes me. NJ needs a drive in, we are the damn birthplace of them!

When I see this thread, I realize how spoiled us Angelinos are to have double-features of classic films every single day.

NYC actually does a good job, and there are everyday screenings of classic films, but going to NYC from Jersey every day for a film gets to be cost prohibitive(parking is killer, or the mass transit cost is more than the movie).

For all the high price and sometimes-a-pain reserved seating, the Arclight is a high class joint all the way. They'll do anything for you. (They'll even refund unused tickets, even if you return them AFTER the showing has already taken place.)
