I haven't watched it since I last posted in this thread (22 years?!). I wonder how I'd feel about it today?

This is one of those movies where the parts are better than the whole. It's fun and it has its moments, but it's so clunky. And where they take Carolina doesn't feel earned nor necessary, just an odd choice.

Yeah, I haven't seen it in, like, two decades either despite owning the DVD.

I think it was sort of turning point in RR's career when his films started getting self-indulgent and messy. Either that, or when he started making kids' movies.

I suppose a case could be made that much of his post-Spy Kids output is basically children's movies for adults.

Man, I haven't watched this in at least 20 years, but I remember being disappointed after loving the first two films.

I loved the DVD art more than the movie
Once Upon a Time in Mexico

The slip wasn't too bad either.

It looks like shit too. Shooting it on digital video and bad CGI blunted everything that made the first two so great.

I don't really have much to add to this thread except I think this was created before I became a member, just brought back some memories is all.

That reminds me, I used to have this chirashi (Japanese theatrical flyer) framed and hanging up in my TV room. I gotta dig that thing up (along with my other chirashi).
