Open Range is having surprisingly good legs. Chan's The Medallion proves he needs to stop remaking movies he just released last year (The Tuxedo). As for Marci X, did anybody actually expect that would make any money?

I don't know about Open Range having legs, it did drop 33%, which is about average for a non-event flick.
Not surprised at how bad the new ones did - most of them were just waiting to be dumped after a long summer.

What amazes me is that almost every review of My Boss's Daughter pegged it as being worse than Gigli, it made just as little money during it's opening weekend, yet nobody (both here on dvdtalk and in the media as a whole) has commented on it.

Because everyone hates Affleck and Lopez and the quality of the movie (Not having seen it, I'm sure it's no Oscar winner, but I'm also pretty sure there are worse movies out there) matters less than taking pot shots at them. Where have you been, man?

From: A little bit here and a little bit there.
I can't wait for this awful summer to be over.
It's way too hot... And there are no movies out there that are driving me into the air conditioned theaters.
I go watch lethal weapon 2.
From the last year that had a great summer of sequels & fun films...1989.

Hadn't heard of this one until the past week. Kinda makes me laugh to think these movies get made. Makes me feel like I could be a movie exec/producer
