okay, perhaps this movie won't change your life. but it's changing ours over here. Filipino filmmaking has been in a slump, like FOREVER. Unfortunately our filmmaking industry is as crass as many. Fortunately we were also bitten by the indie filmmaking bug of the early nineties. And our first result was Gamitan, and the second is now Keka which is written and directed by the same guy, Quark Henares.
so, i guess, for those of you who are interested i'll write a brief on making better films in the Philippines. Like many third world countries, there are only so many genres that sell over here. The most dominant of the last year, has been the sex genre (not porn, mind you, just sex-filled plots, without any actual "exposure"). We have been trying to convince other people that other films do sell. Quark's first movie was a sexy movie. But this second one is more revenge killing (with no sex!). His influences are Tarantino and David Lynch, which is why I thought some of you might be interested. I'm just curious how Americans would react to his films, considering how well John Woo, Takeshi Kitano, Korean directors (sorry, I don't know their names), Zhang Yimou, et al, have been received.
This is our first credible foray into the cult Asian world of cult filmmaking, as a country. So hoping for a little luck.

All I get is this image...

What's so life-altering about that?
(Sorry... it blocked the pop-up window)

How about adding more info in your first post then to actually tell what the film is about, some story about the maker, etc. etc. instead of a tease and plug for a site. I'm sure sparking our interest instead of making us think this is a shameless promotion could actually work for the films opening.
