Could anyone answer my questions?


fact: pacino tricked the girl into stealing the program for him & she did so sucessfully.

so:

1. WHY did he need Farrel at all?

2. even worse: he had Farrel SPY on the girl & thus exposed the 'secret' theft he had planned and gotten away of to date!!???

He needed the 'Spartacus' program thats why Pacino needed farrell

i don't think pacino was the one that had the girl stealing the program. I think she was asked to do it by someone else, to test the security at the CIA Headquarters.

thus, he needed farrell to get the program from her. that's how i saw it.

If he had Layla killed, then no one would know that she was stealing the information for Burke. If Layla lived, then when it was eventually found out that the plans were stolen, Layla would have known that Burke was the one who sold the information and she would have given him up. By killing her (and causing James to think she was stealing the plans for her own benefit) not only would the only person who knew Burke's true involvement be dead, but Burke would have a good corroborating witness in James.

I saw this thread and searched for that post I knew I made but I couldn't find it! (I searched on pacino and recruit, but you used the character's names and only had the title in quote marks.)

What's really sad is that only 2 months later I couldn't come up with the same answer again from scratch. I'm getting old!
