Wow! Manos is no longer the worst movie in existance!

Well, that settles it - I HAVE to see Justin to Kelly and Gigli now. According to the bottom 100 movies of the IMDB, FJ2K and Gigli beat out Manos, the Hands of Fate as the worst movies of all time. Damn, any movie that can unseat Manos must be a train wreck indeed.

So, who's up for a double feature.

Manos isn't really that bad. If it weren't the subject of that MST3K movie it probably wouldn't even be in the bottom 100.

But, neither FJ2K and Gigli have Torgo!

(Torgo is that guy's name, right? It's been a long time since I've seen Manos)

Definitely not.

I remember the campaign several years ago by MST fans to stuff the "voting box" to make Manos the worst movie on the list.

Everyone knows the worst movie ever made is The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed Up Zombies.

I think making those two the worst movies ever made, is a little pushing it, I wonder how many acutually saw the movies.

I did a post about the Top 100 before, and everybody jumped on my about how ludicrous it was to pay a bit of attention to anything on IMDb.

Still... I refuse to believe that either of these movies are as "bad" as Manos, or, certainly, Plan 9 From Outer Space.

I've never seen this list before, but I found this to be really funny! I loved these films!

#69 Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol (1987) 3.3 (3709 votes)
#35 Police Academy 5: Assignment: Miami Beach (1988) 2.8 (3411 votes)
#30 Police Academy 6: City Under Siege (1989) 2.7 (2892 votes)
#13 Police Academy: Mission to Moscow (1994) 2.2 (3578 votes)

How long before this becomes the official "WHICH MOVIE DO YOU THINK IS THE WORST OF ALL TIME" thread?

The IMDB list leans too heavily toward mainstream movies and MST3K stuff, mostly thanks to 625 vote requirement. It used to be a truer indicator of truly bad movies. For instance, there are dozens of slasher movies worse than Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (#72). New Beginning had a 3.4 average. Camp Blood, an absolutely horrible Friday the 13th ripoff, averaged 1.9, but didn't meet the vote requirement. The worst movie I've ever seen doesn't even appear on IMDB (it's called "I'll Kill You, I'll Bury You, I'll Spit on Your Grave, Too"... bad on every level imaginable). https://www.bitplains.com/Qstore/Qst...8&BACK=A0003A1

"Every frame of this movie looks like someone's last known photograph."

That's one of my favorites quotes from MST3k version of Manos. It may not be the worst movie ever made, but it's definitely not too far behind.

What about the most obscure movie in my library, My Lovely Burnt Brother and His Squashed Brain?

Defending Manos, in terms of criminalistic behavior, is second only to defending Hitler.

I believe there are three signs in children that they will become serial killers:

Wetting the bed
Abusing animals
Watching Manos, willingly

I think the worst movie ever should be Maid in Manhattan, but that's just me.

Even Plan 9 From Outer Space isn't that bad. It's just one of several terrible sci-fi films from that period, one which gained notority because it was Legosi's last film and because it was highlighted by the Medved brothers in a book about bad movies.

Agreed. Plan 9 is extremely fun, even if it's only because of its ineptitude. Someone once said that Plan 9 is not the worst movie ever made, but it is the most entertaining "bad" movie. I've willingly watched Plan 9 at least a dozen times. I doubt I'll ever watch Gigli even once (and definitely not Maid In Manhattan).

I always tell my wife the worst movie ever made is Dolly Parton's Straight Talk but that's just one man's opinion when he's talking to his Dolly Parton-worshipping wife. LOL

Actually, the worst movie I have ever seen, and it's far worse than Manos, was Gore-Met Zombie Chef from Hell. My friend's comments while we were watching it one night, "It's like a porn movie but without all the sex."

What? no Johnny Mnemonic on this list? I've seen over half of these movies (unfortunately) and the majority of them are still better than this piece of trash.

I actually really like two of the movies on this list and own Nothing But Trouble and will pick up Mr. Wrong when it is released.

For the one that mentioned it, the Rollerball remake is #39.

The only movie on that list I've willingly watched more than once is:

80. Caddyshack II (1988)

There are several others on there that deserve to be lower than they are, like Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever, Speed 2, Superman 4, and Jaws 3-D. I'd like to see the Talented Mr. Ripley on that list.

And was Kazaam that bad? It's hoky, but still a kid's movie. Certainly not worthy of #18 when there are gems like Jury Duty and Gone Fishin' on the list.
