Famke & Bebe, while still pretty, are far too old.

Do we have to waste Oldman underneath a mask/helmet? If we do... make him Destro.

And, of course, JASON LEE FOR SHIPWRECK.

How about Ashley Judd for Lady Jaye? Heck, come to that, why not for Scarlett?

And a few just off the top of my head:

Flint: Ben Browder
Tomax/Xamot: Jason and Jeremy London
Shipwreck: Jason Lee
Stormshadow: Jet Li
Hawk: Jeff Daniels

That is a really good casting call.

I just discovered yesterday that they were actually twins.

I loved Jason in Out Cold... and when I watched Gods and Generals I thought he looked a little heavier. I checked IMDB to see if Jason was in G&G, but it said Jeremy... and that Jeremy was the one in 7th Heaven, and that Jason was the "Jason" of the miniseries Jason & The Argonauts.

That's great thinking Tom.

Good call! We don't have to see his face or hear his voice, we just watch him kick...

Nah... he'd be good only if he were Chuckles!

I think Dave Couiler is a much better Chuckles.

By the way, here's my dream cast:

G.I. Joe
Flint........Will not be appearing, this guy sucked ass
Shipwreck....Ed Burns(sufficently annoying enough, and Christian Slater can't shake rehab)
Lady Jaye....Helena Bonham Carter
Duke.........Brad Pitt(you need someone to mug and tell lameass jokes)
Gung Ho......Stone Cold Steve Austin
Roadblock....Ving Rhames(no brainer)
Wild Bill....Jeff Foxworthy(uncanny in the cartoon how similar they are)
Scarlet......Julia Roberts?
Snakeeyes....Mark Chadwick(Who? The man who was REALLY in the Spiderman suit throughout the film. This is if he remains masked)
Alpine.......Marlon Wayans
Bazooka......Vin Diesel is probably out of range, we'll throw Sly Stallone a bone. Perhaps Frank Stallone
Rock N' Roll...Matthew McConalhey
Dusty........Robert Duvall
Breaker......Jason Lee
Stalker......Denzel Washington
Snow Job.....Phillip Seymour Hoffman
Spirit.......Lou Diamond Phillips

And Cobra
Cobra Commander...Gilbert Godfried or Don Cheadle
Destro............Michael Clarke Duncan(may be too big, but great voice)
The Baroness......Bebe Neuwirth would have been great 10 years ago, how about Krisin Davis if she can get angry, or Natassa Kinski in lifts?
Zartan.......Maryln Manson(would definately need to get angrier, but great look)
Major Blood...David Bowie
Tomax and Zamot...The Olsen Twins. No actually, Jeremy and Jason London can finally be put to good use.
Dr. Mindbender....Burt Reynolds or Randy "Macho Man" Savage, both sans hair. I was actually off the bandwagon by this point
Storm Shadow......Jet Li
Buzzer............Jackie Martling(long blone ponytailed Dreadnok)
Torch.............Hacksaw Jim Duggan(redhead/beared Dreadnok)
Ripper............The Host of Actors Studio or Barry Gibb(the other Dreadnok)

It's been several years since I've seen an episode, but wasn't the Shipwreck voice essentially a riff on Nicholson? So slap a beard and a goofy hat on Christian Slater and be done with it.

Jason Lee IS Shipwreck. No one else could play him as well in real life.

I'm telling you, go back and watch the miniseries. Breaker became very underused, but HE is the Jason Lee here, even looking like him and matching his cadence. Christian Slater or Ed Burns should be shipwreck, because he's so annoying.

Oh come on you guys. We'd already seen Destro on screen:

Silver skin: check
Bald head: check
Thick accent: check

What more could you ask for?

He doesn't fit to play himself .

I only have two strong opinions:

Viggo Mortensen as Duke

Angie Everhart as Scarlet

Let's give it a bump as a companion thread to the rumor that the movie's been greenlighted.
