Trailer for The Missing

http://www.themoviebox.net/trailers/themissing.htm

Well, well, there's another western coming out soon. This Ron Howard film stars Cate Blanchett, Tommy Lee Jones, and Aaron Eckhart. It's set in New Mexico, in 1866. Jones' granddaughter is kidnapped by a pack of army deserters, and Jones' daugher, played by Blanchett, must team up with the old man to bring her daughter back. Usually, long hair on a man looks pretty womanly, but Jones manages to pull it off. Release date right now is Jan. 9, 2004.

What year is this? 1953 or 2003?

As for the trailer: it was low-quality, but interesting. Is this intended as a loose remake of The Searchers?

I also hate earrings on men, so the year is 1953. The Missing is based on a pulpy novel by the name of The Last Ride. I think the similarities to The Searchers are coincidental.

I think this looks pretty good.

But I really like Cate Blanchett.
