Anybody going to their theatre's midnight showing of Gigli?

Looks like it's getting some pretty descriptive reviews.

Haven't seen any places with a midnight showing.

Then again, I haven't looked.

What theatre would just throw away money for a midnight screening of Gigli? The amount they would spend paying the staff is probably more than they would bring in in revenue.

Yeah, the "Gigli" jokes are already getting really old on this board, and the movie hasn't even opened yet...

Anybody want to gather a guess at its final Tomatometer rating?

I think 10% is a fair estimate.

You're certainly being generous.

Boy, I was off. Still at 0% with 39 reviews in. This thing will be lucky to crack 4%.

The bad reviews actually make me want to see the movie. That whole glutton for punishment thing.

Woohoo! It's up to a whopping 1 fresh out of 54 reviews!

The movie has Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez in it.

It doesn't matter how bad the critics say it is because
there's people that will go see it just because
they're in it.

I'm intrigued myself just at the thought of "how horrible could
this movie possibly be?"

I said the same thing about Swept Away when it came out, so i waited until it came out on dvd and rented it and I realized just how terrible a movie can be. I won't make the same mistake twice. When a movie gets this much bad press there's a reason for it.

That's always been my view. A couple of bad reviews I can ignore and might go see it anyway. But when the thumbs downs start hitting 95% or more, ever I can take a hint.

I'm actually hoping that when the DVD comes out it's bare bones, P&S only, with 2.0 sound, in a snapper case!

All the evening shows sold out at my theater.
