Will there be a Terminator 4?
The movie endly so abruptly. It just didn't feel closed in many ways. Does anyone know if there are plans to make a part 4? I realy hope so, because if this is the way it ends...I will be very dissapointed. Any help would be great?

Anyone who's seen all 3 Terminator movies knows what's next so it doesn't really require anything further. But I for one would like to see post-judgement day finally played out on screen.
A fourth movie wouldn't require Arnold Schwartzenegger very much or at all. Would the studio be willing to to make Terminator 4 without him ann would Arnold go for a small part?

Personally, i like the way T3 leaves things wide open. I like that ending as I feel it completes the story better then T2's ending by tying up some of the paradox's that existed. No need for a T4... but if one came out with Arnold... i'd definatly watch it.

Well I would like to see if there is a T4 and the movie still needs Arnold since it is his Trademark. In the other hand they don't need to make T4 since that was all the story is about from the 1st Terminator movie. IF there will be T4 its will surely have an amazing Special FX since they will be battling Terminators!!
Also remeber that Arnold said "Go John, We will meet again"

*SPOILERS* *Just for the Whiners* *SPOILERS*
There's a really interesting story there to be told. John Connor sending a man he knows will be his father, back in time to protect his mother... A Man no older than him, the father he never knew, he finally meets him, and he knows he has to send him back to protect his mother. There's also potential for the side story of the first T-100 being built and sent back to kill his mother... They could also explore the actuall war between robots and humans, in a way that hasn't been done so far. It would tie the whole saga in a nice little knot.
They can leave off right where the first one starts. It'll be like a Sequel/Prequel all in one.

Might be interesting to see where the war goes after the death of John Connor. Maybe just as the humans are about to win, Skynet makes a last-ditch effort with one more terminator to stop the resistance. Of course it would probably have to take place in the future, and likely couldn't include any of the "human" actors from T3.

I could see a T4, but I agree with marty that a tv series might be better suited. If there was to be a T4 then I can't see Arnold in it which would really diminish the series for many, me included. Plus, the movie has done well, but not as well as many would like. It cost a LOT to make T3 and it hasn't made as much as T2. Home video sales should help it in the end. Whatever happens, I do not think we have seen the last of the Terminator series. It will be back in one form or another.

Remember he only worked for about 10 days on Batman & Robin and got $25M for doing so.

If they make Terminator 4, they better make it a lot sooner than they did Terminator 3. They'd have a hard time convincing the audience why in the future they made so many wrinkly robots...

there wasnt a need for T3 even tho its my favorite movie so far this year. Also, they already mentioned the winner of the future war in T3 so there would be no point really having a T4 whatsoever.

They can do it and update it with stuff about newer technology and do man vs. machine braveheart style
Just imagine John Connor battling the machines when he spouts out..."You can take our internet porn, but you can't take our freedom!"

Meanwhile there's movement on a fourth "Terminator" movie - "T4 is essentially a go picture. Figures for T3 weren't fantastic, but still quite good. Very good. The entire cast has signed for another one. I believe there's a plan for Arnold to do this and King Conan back to back - but the latter film still has a question mark over its head. Depending on how the Wachowski's do with "Matrix 3", it mightn't be happening yet".

Perhaps T4 could deal with the aftermath alone and the beginnings of the war while someone in the future is constantly trying to send someone back to kill John Connor regardless of the time period, hence there will be a need for Arnold or some sort of protector. Then T5 could be about winning the war and perhaps we can see special effects ala the Matrix with the bunch of Agents Smiths, we could see a ton of Arnolds fighting each other and being ripped to shred or riddled with bullets in the future war. Then the series can end on the ultimate downer by crossing over to the Matrix (Animatrix) where the Machines actually win and take over the minds of resistence. Or this could just work better as a TV series.
