Wasn't there rumors of an Australian Vacation? That might be pretty cool.

I disagree. He was the best part of the Vacation movies that he was in.

I thought it was going to get a theatrical release, I'll check it out either way though.

He was good because he was a side-line character, I just don't see the gimmick holding for an entire movie, let alone a toned-down made-for-TV movie.

Ick. The only good one has been the first and parts of the sequel, whereas Christmas and Vegas Vacations blew new levels of monkey butt. El paso.

"*****ter was full!"

Christmas Vacation was funny, never saw Vegas though.

I can't see this movie working though...Eddie was nothing more than a side-line character as Pixyboi mentioned.

Eddie is one of my favorite charachters but after reading the plot details. . .

Though Eddie's fired right at Christmastime, his boss sends him and his family on a South Pacific vacation, hoping Eddie won't sue him after being bitten by a lab monkey. When the Tuttle family winds up trapped on a tropical island, however, Eddie manages to provide for everyone and prove himself a real man.

I don't think there's enough makeup in California to put Chevy Chase up on the big screen again... He looks like he's wearing theatrical transvestite makeup in that insurance commercial.

A good idea for another vacation movie would be.....

Rusty and Audrey, they're grownup and married and have kids.
Well, one summer thier kids come to visit thier Grandma and Grandpa Griswald.

If they do another I want to see the original Rusty and Audrey as bigdogkt mentioned, but it has to be Anthony Michael Hall and Dana Barron.

Supposedly, there's a TV movie airing later this year called "Cousin Eddie's Christmas Vacation" which will star Randy Quaid, Dana Barron (the original Audrey), and Jake Thomas (the younger brother from "Lizzie McGuire").
Weekend before last, I talked to Dana Barron at the San Diego Comic-Con. She was always my favorite "Audrey" She looks the same (older, of course). She's very short and thin so she still fits the role very well. The TV movie will be on NBC.
