LBPound, I disagree. The Ghostbusters werent ever susposed to be the buff, in shape, all American heros. That's what was so unigue about them and what made people love them. They ate junk food, they smoked. They were careless. Wreckless drivers too I might add lol. In fact, their age could just work in their favor. Cracking jokes at each other. I mean, If Harison Ford is 60 and doing another Jones. I say Akroyd, and Ramis could at least come back. Now if this was a Batman movie . I would understand. But it isnt, and they arent. Dan isnt even too fat. Notice he was fatter in GB2 than the first. So it would work in his favor. Isnt like they'd be flying on ropes and punching threw buildings. They bust ghost, that's it. And a Ghostbusters 3 would work out fine if it had the right script. I know Id see it, a few dozen times!

I suppose it has something to do with Murray's perceived integrity of the original film. Charlie's Angels and Osmosis Jones are duds on Murray's name, not the Ghostbusters name. It's like why didn't Bruno Kirby return to do City Slickers II? It's not like his career has been stellar.

No, they never were buff American heroes, but Harold Ramis has balooned, Bill's all gray, and well, it just would be odd to do another movie after this long. It rarely, if ever works. See Godfather III, Two Jakes, etc.

yeah the whole Murray quote went down the one mentioned. I also read that he wanted to do more serious films ala Rushmore that had just come out. Then right after this quote we got Osmosis Jones.
