Hollywood Homicide flopped miserably....not even in the top 10.
Charlie is gonna lose lots of $$$. It cost about $160 million.

T3 apparently cost upwards of $200 million.

Glad to see Sinbad flopped and that Nemo has passed Neo for the year's top-grosser.

Why? I've heard good things about it.
This will mean less animated movies.

Now its a question of whether T3 will suffer a big drop next week. Amazing to see Nemo still pulling in that much money, it ought to break 300. I wish the Hulk was doing better. And i hope The Italian Job breaks 100

If it means less animated movies from DreamWorks, that's cool.

But of course, the downside is that people will attribute this more to it being a 2-D animated film...that people don't want see 2-D animation...when in reality, people just don't want to see movies about pirates. (Though maybe Pirates of the Caribbean will change the terrible streak pirate movies have had at the B.O.).

No surprise to me considering how many kids under the age of 10 that I saw (with their parents) at the T3 showing I went to.

Hulk will be

My wife and I took our kids, 5 and 3, to see Sinbad on Friday and we thought it was really very good. Great animation and action and laugh-out-loud in several cases, for me at least.

I'm not sure I really understand the American movie-going public, people complain there are not enough movies for families, and then when they get something like this that is rated PG and getting generally good reviews (two thumbs up on Ebert & Roeper, two Hots on Hot Ticket), they stay home in droves. My kids dragged me to Rugrats Go Wild and it was god-awful. Sinbad is 10 times the movie and Rugrats will probably outgross it.

It's good to see Nemo finally beat Matrix for the summer's top spot. And it looks like there's no end to how well it could do. Sinbad sure didn't beat Nemo.

I like animated movies, but rarely will go see them (or live-action movies, for that matter) in the theater. I look forward to the Sinbad Dvd.

I think Sinbad is following the Treasure Planet model. It is probably a pretty good movie but it just doesn't look that interesting from the promo material. I didn't think Road to El Dorado was bad either, but it flopped too. Titan AE flopped as well but it was a pretty bad film. It seems that 2D animated action/adventure films just aren't selling these days. A shame, me thinks.

Hulk continues to drop like a rock (as well it should IMO). Hopefully good word of mouth keeps T3 from suffering Hulk's fate.

Even tho T3 did good in the box office but I'm quite disappointed about the box office even tho I loved T3.

Matrix: Reloaded made around 91 million in just 3 days but T3 made around 72 million in 5 days. What happened?.
I think the Matrix stinks and Terminator movies own.

I hope T3 will have some legs. Word of mouth should be good. I am amazed that Nemo will be the biggest movie of the year. It will be intresting come November when the next Matrix comes out.

T3 did come out on a Holiday week. I know alot of people who are away for the week or had other plans than to go see a movie. I know I am going to see T3 again with a buddy of mine and his family when they get back from vacation.

T3 should have some good legs to it. It may not make $200 million in the USA, but it will make a killing International and on DVD. I know I will also be buying the DVD or getting it for a Xmas gift.

I agree - I think it will do quite well in the long run.

The studios need to realise they need some incentive to get aduts to bring kids to see an animated movie. Nemo has a universal appeal and parents don't mind it; but I think Sinbad (and Treasure Planet) has little to offer adults.

I thought T3 and LB2 would be about 30% better than what they did. It's good to see Nemo doing so well.

I'm glad to see T3 doing well. I think it will only get better for the Terminator. Word of mouth is pretty darn good, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who plans to see it in the theater again.

I like Dreamworks' animated movies, so I'm a little disappointed that Sinbad didn't do better. Then again, I didn't see it either so I guess I can't expect anyone else to. Still I look forward to watching it later and picking up the DVD.

Another here who's glad to see Nemo pass up Neo...

I saw SINBAD, I didn't like it.
The animation was good, but the story was boring.
Brad Pitt & Cath-Zeta Jones didn't add anything, only Michelle Phiffer was great.

Hmmm, I wonder if this is coming from a Disney fan for a reason? Dreamworks animated pices haven't been successful for the reasons disney's are.. Disney really does go an extra bit to go for the kid audiance while adding a little bit of adult humor.. Dreamworks is trying to establish animation as not just something for kids but for adults aswell in the methods they draw the characters and so forth. either way, I wouldn't root for animation to fail as if it does, the whole battle starts all over.

Take that 30 minute rave scene!!

Finding Nemo is now the second highest grossing animator film ever. I don't know that it will beat The Lion King, though, as it would need another $50 million.
