RETURN OF THE KING - first official teaser one-sheet...

OK...the wait just became incrementally more difficult. But shouldn't it say 'The Journey Concludes...'? (it says 'The Journey Continues' on the desktop wallpaper version)

Supposedly we may be getting other 'character' themed one-sheets before the final one makes its debut in lobbies. Trailer is expected in September...damn, these tidbits don't make it any easier on those eager to return to Middle-earth.

You know, I for sure thought it would have been this poster as the one sheet.

At least they are letting people know who the King in question is with the poster. Nice shot of Viggo.

Forget the one-sheets.

When can we see those "Engrish" screenshots from the bootleg DVDs again?

...people still find humor out of those "homosexual journey" posters, huh? To each their own.

Anyway, I think the first poster is cool, and I look forward to seeing the others.

That's odd... My copy of the desktop version does read "The Journey Concludes". (OK, so I gave it a little retouch)

Smatters a bit of "we realize Elijah Wood isn't the selling point of this series anymore".

The one I posted here is sized down for posting purposes. The full size (unmodified) version is at the official website. I can make my 1280x1024 version available, but someone would need to host it for me, since I don't have enough bandwidth available to do so.

Well I did take some time to do it. So I figured I could use it again for one more laugh.

Too late. They are already selling ROTK DVD's in NYC.

(Possible Spoiler below)

I think they should show GOLLUM raising his arms high in the air with the one ring in his grasp as the focal and selling point for the final film. GOLLUM rules and he becomes the new KING and RULER of MIDDLE-EARTH and to everyone in the MIDDLE EAST!

Actually, it echoes VERY nicely to the very first teaser poster we got that featured a smiliar image of Frodo simply holding the ring.

So the trailer will be released after the preview on The Two Towers DVD? Is that how it was done last year also?
