Huh.

I thought the Hulk was one of the best "comic book movies" ever made.

However...

I thought Bana was awful - *too* brooding. Okay, he's a dark brooding character. We get it. You don't have to sulk and grimace through every frame of the film. And he was not only brooding but rather *placid* as Banner - which of course ruined it.

A young Nolte would have been wonderful - anger just broiling under the surface.

I thought Ang Lee brought a wonderful freshness to the sagging genre - as does Bryan Singer with the X-Men films - but the film was over-long and had one too many endings (and the real problem, of course, was that the ending with Nolte and his giant electric monster was itself over-long and murky).

I say BRING ON HULK 2 - with Lee at the helm but without Bana, please.
