Any Hollywood Stock Exchange Players here?

Just brought this site up in another post. If you like really early info on what is in development at the studios (way before they ever go into production) try this site out www.hsx.com. Has alot of info and is really addictive as a game.

they start you out with 2 million, and after about 3 - 3 1/2 years of playing I am at about 110 million. Sounds like alot, but there are people that make my portfolio like like crap.

I've been playing for about 5 years now. I made a TON of money of of The Blair Witch Project. I don't get into it like some people do. People are on there every day, doing lots of trades. I tend to just buy 50000 stocks of a project early in development and let it ride for months or years until it comes out. I usually have between 15-30 things at any given time. I just check in once a week to see how things are moving. It's pretty cool.

I played it for a while. They need to reset the game, though. There are people who are so far ahead that it's impossible to catch up. But it was fun.

I've started playing again after about a year break. I play the same way monkeyboy does, it takes too much time and effort to be really competitive.

It's been ages since I accessed my account, but this thread reminded me that I once played. I have roughly 68M. I still have a few movie stocks in my portfolio and a ton of cash. I may have to buy more stocks and forget it for another 5 or six years.

I've been playing for a couple years but every 6-8 months I really get into it and then back out it seems. I've got around $60mil and just play the openers lately (shorted the Hulk this weekend )

I've been off and on on this game. I was really into the Mr. Showbiz box office games (actually won quite a bit of loot in those), but HSX doesn't hold my interest as much. HSX's short-lived box office betting games were great, though, but at $5 a pop they didn't get many takers and had to shut them down.

I have a small portfolio which I haven't really kept up with. It's only at $77M. I rarely check it and have been holding long on a few stocks. What's your largest percentage gain on any one stock?

Mine:
S.W.A.T. - Purchased at $.13, now up 88,330%

Next bests:
Houdini - Purchased at $.18, now up 25,622%
Fantastic Four - Purchased at $.54, now up 19,350%

I used to play it all the time when I had my Jaime Pressly website, but over time I lost interest...just as my stocks did.

I play. I started in the late 1990s and played for a few years, then I stopped. I started again last Thanksgiving (8 Mile was the first opener I played when I came back).

Since then, I've grown my port from $177 million to about $380 million, so all you people whining about how hard it is are just losers.
