What's THE funniest movie?

Which movie to this day is still as funny as when you first saw it and still makes you laugh out loud to this day? Only one.

For me, no question: Dumb and Dumber

Humor is probably the most subjective thing in the entertainment business. Just look at some of the sitcoms that last several years compared to the ones that get canned after a half-dozen episodes.

For me, I really enjoyed There's Something About Mary.

Caddyshack or Clerks. Clerks only because i know two guys that are essentially Randal and Daunte in real life, so that makes me crack up everytime.

Side-hurting straight-forward funny: Blazing Saddles

Great artistic merit and extremely funny: Young Frankenstein

Not really all that funny the first time you see it, but becomes hilarious once you think about it a little: Spinal Tap

Strange, foreign and very funny in a universal way: both Tampopo and Shoalin Soccer

Nice choices!

I would also include "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" to my list.

Also "Cabin Boy" and "Weekend At Bernies".
I didn't think anyone else liked "Bio-Dome".

Dumb and Dumber will always crack me up.

a lot of comedies lose their appeal after repeated viewings, but not dumb and dumber.

if i ever opened up a bar, i'd play that movie all the time.

I'll cast a vote for A Fish Called Wanda. Not as many jokes-per-minute as Airplane or Naked Gun, but if you talk about jokes that come out of characters, it's way up there.

I'll also throw some old-school love for the AFI's #1 comedy, Some Like it Hot. It's still funny after all these years and amazingly doesn't even feel that dated.

Lebowski. Or maybe Kicking and Screaming, though that one's more personally funny than it is to other people.

Umm, I don't think John Q was meant to be a comedy. Then again, I'm not sure Cable Guy was either!
