The Last Samurai Advanced Movie Poster

Anyone where I can get one? I saw one at a local movie theatre, is there any place that is currently selling it? I've checked quite a few sites with no luck. Any ideas?

It's rather bizarre, no? The awkwardness of the pose (try doing it), plus the fact you can't even see his face?

Yeah I know. Its rare that you see anything having to do with Tom Cruise without the big headshot of him.

People laughed when I saw it before The Matrix Reloaded too. But so what? Still one of the films I am most looking forward to. Oh, and he's not supposed to be Japanese in the movie anyways.

I know Tom Cruise isn't supposed to be Japanese, but he looks 100% ridiculous dressed as a Samurai. John Belushi is more convincing than him.

Hmmm.

You think he might do push-ups during the inevitable "training montage" in this movie?

Look back at his film roles. At some point in every Tom Cruise movie, the man does a push-up.

Those are the same people who thought Reloaded sucked because it had too many 'boring' parts.

Yeah those push ups while questioning Jessup in the final scene of A Few Good Men really made it more dramatic.

When he's all dudded up as a samurai he looks like Ethan Hunt from Mission Impossible undercover in Japan IMO.

I thought it looked cool. But how is this film going to be any different than Kagamusha and/or Ran. It looks to be the same thing: Ancient feudal worriors facing down the encroachment of technology that will destroy them wholesale (guns and modern warfare)

No one laughed in the theater when I saw it.

My friends did ask me why a lone white guy is able to save the japanese people when they can't do it themselves, heh.

Yeah, I agree. It's just like in Cocktail, when he's all dudded up, he looks just like Ethan Hunt except undercover in a bar.

Yeah but this is just the teaser poster isn't it? I'm sure the regular release version will be a nice fat closeup.

(Marketing gripe #7: When the actors name is in a larger print than the films title.)

People laughed at the preview in my film as well.

The Japanese call him in after leading an AMERICAN army into a massacre.

They want Cruise' character to teach the Japanese army to
use guns instead of swords.

He just gets into the Samurai thing when he gets there.

It's not as ridiculous as it may seem.

Should be an interesting flick.
