Just saws this today but I missed the begining. I saw it from
Bruce's newscast in the mist/waterfall. Can someone tell me
what I missed? From what I saw I really liked this movie.

Thanks for the help,

Jason

It's been a few weeks since I saw it, but I will try my best. Basically, the first part you missed was him covering this bakery that was making the world's biggest cookie (or something like that) and being lambasted by his coworkers for looking like an idiot on TV. He was running against a co worker for the anchor position, and found out the bad news he didn't get the anchor while he was on the boat. The first part of the movie was basically detailing his life going to the crapper.

Saw the movie. It was a great Jim Carey movie. Reminded me of liar liar for some reason. Anyway, a plot point that bothered me.
Spoiler:
If Jim Carey cannot mess with free will as god, then how was he able to control the anchorman and make him say all those things during the broadcast?

From: Bartertown due to it having a better economy than where I really live.
maybe all he really changed was what came out, but the anchor guy was still the one deciding to talk, as he was able to shut up when he wanted

Bruce Almighty was a movie that has its moments. Good for a one-time viewing, nothing more.

One gripe though: Jennifer Aniston was totally underused.

A thankless role, at best.

One or two chuckles - Jim Carey was going through the motions - too religious for me... 4/10

Liked it a lot. Very similar to Truman Show (though I liked that a little more) and I thought Carey and Aniston did a good job with their roles.
