Anyone seen the Movie Cube 2: Hypercube?

Pretty sure it went right to video/dvd. The first one was a bit of a cult hit that I thought was pretty good. I was curious as to whethor or not the sequal was any good. Have any of you seen it and is it worth watching?

Thoughts.......?

Not too many people liked it. I loved Cube but I just thought Hypercube wasn't too good. Here's another thread that has some other people's opinions.

It's awful.

Just plain awful.

Traps ridiculous, characters stupid.

I just watched both of them yesterday. Cube is a great little low-budget sci-fi flick that is definitely a worthy rental. Cube 2 is not nearly as good. I wouldn't go so far as say it's aweful, but it certainly leaves a lot to be desired. Basically, it tries to answer too many questions, and the explanations it offers are really pedestrian. I didn't care for the characters or the acting as much either, especially the token "psycho" guy whose performance seemed really forced. There were, however, some interesting new elements/characteristics of the cube itself that saved the movie from being a total waste of time.

It premiered as a Sci-Fi Channel Original Movie. That should be enough for anyone to understand the quality of the film

Not anywhere as good as the original, which wasn't half bad and was interesting. After watching this movie on TV my thought was, "I want my 2 hours back." Granted, that's much better than thinking "I want my 2 hours and $$$ back" so at least I'm ahead of the game for people who bought or rented it.

Thanks for all the responses.....from the looks of it, it's not something I should rush out and grab anytime soon.

Thanks again...
