I love Pixar's work, too, but I don't think they've improved on the original Toy Story yet. Sure, their animation has advanced, but the original story is still their best film, IMO.

iggystar 05-06-03 12:26 PM

I'll be there with my daughter on opening day. I used to be anti-animation before I started watching Pixar's movies (and before having a kid). Their stories have impressed me.

But....when I first saw the trailer it bothered me that the animated water looked so murky. Is it just me?

Still, I'll be there.

freesia39 05-08-03 01:01 AM

i am THERE!

I LOVE pixar movies. The fish are ADORABLE.

yes disney/pixar has absolutely, completely and totally suckered me in to every movie they do.

smokedragon 05-08-03 04:31 AM

I know I'll definitely not be seeing it at a General Cinemas near me.

I absolutely hate going out to see a movie anymore.

People just do not have any manners, or respect for others.

The only time I'll suffer the noise, and cell phones, and beepers, and seat kickers is for Matrix Reloaded, and Return Of The King.

However, when the DVD hits the stores I will be buying it.

Unless, of course, that turtle is the Jar-Jar of the Pixar world.

Fanboy 05-08-03 08:03 AM

Aaaauuugh! Why do all these directors insist on using CG!
It looks like a cartoon! :(

javanut 05-16-03 02:19 PM

This poster is very cool.

LBPound 05-16-03 02:30 PM

Wow, that's an awesome-looking poster and I believe, my new wallpaper. Thanks! :)

LBPound 05-16-03 02:42 PM

Ack, screw that. Damn good-for-nothing GIFs.

taa455 05-17-03 10:41 AM

To me the plot seems a little weak. Maybe I'm wrong. The whole movie about two fish looking for another fish? Couldn't they come up with something a little more...original? I'll wait for the DVD on this one.

eedoon 05-17-03 01:37 PM

Great poster!

javanut 05-17-03 01:46 PM

I think it's safe to say that since this is a Pixar film, the plot is going to be pretty original. All the others have been so unique.

Jack_Savage 05-17-03 01:46 PM

no way. I like pixar, they took toys and made them cooler, they took bugs and made them cooler, they took monsters and made them cooler, but freaking fish! The most boring creature on the planet. Even pixar wont pull this off.

FuzzyBallz 05-17-03 03:24 PM

Love the trailers and TV spots. And since I got nothing against fishes, gonna check it out for sure.

I think the plot's pretty original. I mean, when's the last time you've seen a movie about seafood looking for seafood. BTW, this movie isn't just about 2 fishes, there are ton of supporting casts.

HitManX 05-17-03 09:08 PM

will have to definitely check this one out. Ive never seen a Pixar film in theaters, however I have seen/own the DVDs. The previews look great.

Michael T Hudson 05-17-03 11:06 PM

I think it looks great.

javanut 05-19-03 10:30 AM

I just saw a TV spot last night, with the little girl tapping on the glass and the starfish repeating "happy place, happy place, happy place."

One of the few movies that I've thought the TV campaign was as solid as the movie trailer.

Kal-El 05-19-03 10:46 AM

I was in LA yesterday and saw the blue carpet being laid out for the premiere of this in front of El Capitan. Too bad I couldn't stay and watch.

cerulean 05-23-03 04:58 AM

I saw a preview screening a couple of days ago. The folks at Pixar do not disappoint....Finding Nemo is beautifully animated and packed throughout with humor and adventure with a touch of pathos.

The turtle is in the movie for just a very short time and seemed to be one of the more popular supporting characters among the people I talked to. The director actually does his voice!

Of the Pixar films, I still like the Toy Story movies the best, with Nemo next, then Monsters, Inc. and A Bug's Life. If you enjoyed their previous films, you won't be disappointed!

BDB 05-23-03 11:05 AM

The turtle is the one that is sold out in all the disney stores so someone loves him.

javanut 05-23-03 12:52 PM

there's a sneak preview here next week and i'm dying to get tickets.

heard that the studio is putting out new nemo commercials next week that have hidden codes for a contest with McDonalds. i'll be interested to see what they look like.

Daytrip 05-23-03 04:04 PM

i'll take my daughter, actually the only thing in the trailer that intrested me was the turtle, shows how mature i am

PixyJunket 05-23-03 04:19 PM

7 more day!! I am SOO psyched to see this one.

javanut 05-29-03 03:52 PM

here's where you find info about the commercials with hidden codes.

www.crush20.com

very very cool.

Rypro 525 05-29-03 06:59 PM

I'll be seeing this with my 7 yr old nephew.

Michael T Hudson 05-30-03 11:55 AM

Wow the reivews are coming in good for this one. It looks like Pixar strikes again.
