From: Bartertown due to it having a better economy than where I really live.
I can't blame him after that craptastic thing that Nemesis was
He'll probably still go to conventions and be cool to the fans which is what really matters
I've also heard he'll give free autographs if you send him a SASE which is more than a lot of celebrities will do

He really is pretty cool. Never been a big ST fan, but it IS interesting how one man can have two franchises. I agree...he'll always be Chuck Xavier to me!
He's probably just tired of the type of fans that follow this franchise as opposed to the ones who follow the X-Men. I doubt they're so...fervent, in their affinity for the series.
No offense.
Going to hide in a corner now..................

I really liked Nemesis, and only ever followed TNG, even though I've seen TOS movies. It's sad to see it go, yes, but I agree that no one remembers how to write these characters and in some scenes it looks like the actors are very very bored. Nemesis was a nice, exciting send-off though.

I find it ironic that Patrick Sewart was doing the Tempest.
I wonder if he realizes that this play was adapted as the scifi classic Forbidden Planet? This movie provided the inspiration for Star Trek!

The article seems to be insinuating that Stewart doesn't want to be Picard anymore because of lackluster box office figures and typecasting. But I'm not sure that's exactly what he's saying.
Stewart could be just saying that he probably won't get to play Picard anymore because of the box office figures. He also talks about some embarassing moments with Star Trek fans and how Star Trek may be holding him back. But I'm not sure we can actually connect the two.
Someone should read the other links on those pages as well.
