Saw it last night - was about as good as Oceans 11 (i.e. not very). It was okay, but i felt like the film was playing up for a stupid audience. Over explaining this and that. Performances were good though. I laughed every time they reminded us that he's telling the story to a guy with a gun to his head cuz it's so damn long - seemed silly. Plus, they telegraphed every move too much making the outcome too obvious rather than a surprise.

I enjoyed Confidence quite a bit. While not in the same league as The Sting, The Grifters, or House of Games, the performances are solid and the story entertaining. Even though Confidence doesn’t bring anything new to the con/grifter genre, I found the ride engaging.

i thought it was great flick. Edward Burns was awesome and Rachel Weisz looked beautiful.
Paul Giamatti steals all his scenes though. Very funny character.
Highly recommended.
