All the Real Girls
Has anyone seen this movie?
It was directed by David Gordon Green who did a little
film about rural North Carolina called "George Washington"
a couple of years ago.
Particia Clarkson and Zooey Deschanel are in ATRG.

I saw it a few weeks ago. It is a beautiful film. The performances, cinematography, editing, and writing are sincere and deeply affecting. It perfectly captures the feeling of youthful love and heartbreak as well as any film I have ever seen.

Ok, i just saw it and it starts off kind of slow but once it gets you into the characters you're really hooked.
This is some really great writing and an extremely accurate portrayl of how some parts of middle America really are (although this takes place in North Carolina).
Zooey Deschanel really surprised me with a terrific performance.

This opened near me on its opening weekend, but I was busy. So I figured, "no hurry I'll see it next friday." It was gone in one week! I was sad. This was released by Cowboy, so I bet this will get a Criterion release.

I liked All the Real Girls a lot. It's a fine follow up to George Washington. Nice to see Green going in different directions while using similar locations.
I read an interview a few weeks ago with Green. It seems he's got a lot on his plate. he's got 3 projects in the making now, one of them I can remember distinctly was an adaptation of "A Confederacy of Dunces."
