I had to vote for Captain Koons, if only for the classic line "...up his ass"

Charlie Barrett in Suicide Kings. He spends most of the movie tied to a chair a still manages to be menacing.
My vote goes to his performance here too.

I also enjoyed watching him in "Nick of Time" with Johnny Depp.

It looks like I'm the only one, but I loved him as Gabriel in the Prophecy. And whatshisface as Satan was a great performance as well.

You forgot to include "Brainstorm" and "Dogs of War" He acted well in both even if you don't like the storyline. I put Max Zorin down on the limited poll.

What about New Rose Hotel? Walken is great in everything he does. Doesn't mtter how good or bad the role, he is the ultimate presence.

Ed Glosser: Trivial Psychic from SNL (which, I'm told, is a spoof of "The Dead Zone").

Every one! He's been incredible in every role I've seen him in. king of New York, would have been unwatchable with another actor in the lead.

there should be an all of the above/Add More category.

Paul Shannon in Dogs of War. Close second is Frank White in King of New York.

there is no love at all it seems for The Addiction. a very small but powerful role as an experienced vampire is classic...I think. still not on dvd.

I'd put those 3 above or at least as good as any in the poll.
Chris Walken as Brad Whitewood, Sr. His best work ever.

Dead Zone. But since it's not there, I voted for "Catch Me If You Can" because I think it's the first time I've seen him so fragile and vulnerable. Usually he's a pretty confident tough guy.

I think a lot of his characters are very, very similar set in different environments. I mean, he plaid a freakin gangster in "Joe Dirt"

"You're talking to my guy all wrong..."

and also gotta get in a vote for:
Suicide Kings (1997) .... Carlo Bartolucci/Charlie Barret

I voted for the Deer Hunter partly because he was really good in it and partly because it's the first time I really knew who he was.

I think this is the toughest poll I've ever seen. Because the guy is great in everything and it's tough to single out one performance. Hell, so many great one's weren't even included on the list!

Hats off to those who mentioned "Brainstorm". I love this film. And didn't think anyone rememberd it but me. Kind of tough to watch knowing the circumstances around the movie and it almost not getting finished (or released).

The Dead Zone, shoulda added that choice. I thought he was pretty funny in Biloxi Blues. There's too many good parts he's done to chose from.

Walken Rules!

He was great in True Romance, but I thought he was awesome and stole every scene in At Close Range from 'Baghdad Penn'.

I voted for The Deer Hunter, but there should have been an 'other' option also. I might have picked Biloxi Blues; Sgt. Toomey is my favorite movie DI.
