Beatles movies

A Hard Day's Night is definitive as far as "fictional" films go. Help isn't as good, but Yellow Submarine is a lot of fun, even is it's not IMO a true Beatles film. As far as documentaries, I have always loved The Complete Beatles, narrated by Malcolm McDowell.

Avoid Magical Mystery Tour like the plagoo. More self-indulgent than all of PTA's films, combined.
Help! really isn't worth the time, except for the great songs (and you can buy the CD for that).
A Hard Day's Night is cinematic gold.
And if you're ever feeling to happy and need a quick and easy downer, watch Let It Be. An exercise in misery.
Yellow Submarine is like going through Peter Max's poo with a stick after ingestic a hallucinogenic tapeworm. That's a recommendation, somehow...
And although the Beatles had nothing to do with the Sergeant Pepper movie, it is must-see for its uncharted depths of awfulness. Phenomenal!
