Who here is actually seeing "Boat Trip"?

Tonight I saw Willard, which was great. As I left the theater, I looked up at the box office sign. It said that the 10:00 show of Boat Trip was SOLD OUT. What the hell?! This movie looks awful, and I know that it's not just me who thinks that.

There's nothing being released this week that can't wait until DVD. Thank God for Netflix, I can rent horrible looking movies and not feel guilty handing them to the guy at Hollywood Video.

Wait, check that. Promised the kids I'd take them to go see the Piglet movie. Hey, I actually enjoyed the Tigger movie. Maybe I can convince them to wait until it gets to the dollar theatre (which shouldn't be more than a few weeks).

Besides, no time to go to the theatre this weekend. Got two coding projects, 5 Netflix movies at home to watch, and need to do laundry.

Boat trip made 1.3 million on Friday, so I guess that answers my question. Nobody is seeing Boat Trip!

I seen it Friday, personally I thought the preview was funny. The movie on the other hand was a mix of funny, stupid, SNL alumni, and some things that were gross. The Sweedish tanning team was nice to look at, and where else can you see Roger Moore playing a homosexual?

Please note though I work at the theater so I did not pay to see this.

My wife and I saw it this past weekend. To us it was one of those movies that is so bad it's funny. I guess it was just the mood we were in but we laughed for most of the movie. Don't get me wrong, this is in no way a "good" movie but if you're in a slap-happy kind of mood it can be very funny at times.

Maybe they didn't sell any tickets for the show and decided not to run the film at all, so they just put up "sold out" to keep any late arrivals from trying to get in.

I remember they were doing "tests" of the movie trailer here in NYC over a year and a half ago. They did it again about 8 months ago. I filled out a form about it both times as did my boyfriend at the time and my best friend. All of us found it completely stupid, unfunny and offensive.

I'm damn happy it's doing horribly. I'm guessing that the 1.3 mil came from the midwest that still thinks it's funny to make fun of homos.

Thank goodness for YOUR enlightened viewpoint ... at least you didn't use the terms "**** and dykes".

I take it in New York it's better to stick up for a minority group by referring to said group by a derogatory name. If you'd payed attention to Homer, you'd know they'd prefer to be called "queers"!

It's much funnier to make fun of you, no matter where you live.

By the way, LOL!

Sure thing babe.

If you ever made fun of me because of my sexuality, my mother would make sure you'd be in traction for the rest of your life

To stay on topic...i hope you enjoy Boat Trip. It's geared exactly toward people with your sense of humor.

I wasn't picking on you for being a ****, I was picking on you for your poor choice in words. I'm sorry you were clouded by insecurity and couldn't see that.

Well, in the words of Dave Foley as Dave Nelson on the short-lived TV show Newsradio:

"The midwest appreciates your respect."

So I'm watching this on cable and can someone explain why Boat Trip is rated R? Other than language and Rosalyn braless in her white cotton see thru tops, I didn't see the need for an R rating?

Who knows. The banana scene alone gave me "the hot"...
