Which actor ruins a movie?

Rene Russo.
I think if she did a one person show she'd be OK. But the thing I notice about her is that she creates almost no interaction with any of the actors around her. It's always like she's in a different movie from everyone else.
IMHO.

I don’t really have any deal breakers. There are a handful of actors whose work I respect enough to entice me to see a flick I wouldn’t otherwise plunk down money for, but mostly I base my go/no-go decision on the director, screenwriter, or story. If a director I admire casts an actor I dislike, I generally trust his judgment. Sure, I’ve been burned more than a few times—still, if Polanski or Kubrick or the Coen’s cast Carrot Top as the lead, I’m sure I’d see it.

Jar-Jar Binks. Incredibly, it seems that Hollywood is willing to continue giving him work and to let him appear as himself (probably a must, since he obviously can't act). I heard that he's going to be in the next Dirty Harry flick as the orderly who pushes Clint around in a wheelchair chasing the bad guys. At least that gives me some cause to hope that his appearance will be brief; I figure the first time he says "Meesa pushin' a fas' meesa can, Harry!" Clint will pop a cap in him. Freakin' Jar-Jar.

I've never had a football coach like that but I can't imagine that is a stretch either.

And Donnie Darko is overrated junk.
I also nominate Jerry O'Connell. What a raging turd...

Julia Roberts (pretty woman...WTF?)
Leonardo DeCaprio (never saw titanic, never will)
Chris Tucker (how'd this guy get another role after Ruby Rod?)
Matthew Lillard (dorkus maximus)

Helena Bonham Carter ruins every scene she's in for me. Luckily, she manages to finagle her way into otherwise good films, so I can pretend she's not there and retain some sanity.
