need an old movie identified.
when I was a kid around 15-20 years ago I saw a film televised on AMC. Here's what I remember:
It was an old film.
It was black and white.
It took place in a carnival.
It was about a sideshow freak
The freak was called the geek.
He may or may not have bit the heads off of chickens. (I'm a little foggy on that).
I thought the movie was called The Geek, but I can't find a listing on the imdb.
and no, I'm quite sure it wasn't Tod Browning's Freaks.
I can't figure this one out for the life of me.

After a lot of googling for the past couple days, I'm beginning to think the film was Nightmare Alley starring Tyrone Power.

I only wish they could get the rights issues worked out on this one and release it to DVD. It's never even seen an official VHS release. One site said it was shown on TV about 20 years ago, so this is probably the one I've been thinking of.
