I said it before and I'll say it again. Cast Dean Cain, he'll be most comfortable in the role.

Now if I have to pick bewteen these other choices, I guess Fraser, he can at least act and is somewhat built....Josh Harnett though, my god...He's what? 19? 20?

He's got a great face for it and he's got a great physique. He may be a bit short though.

Yes, I know he can't act worth a damn, and yes the movie would probably suck if he was casted, but he's a dead ringer compared to the other candidates.

I don't think Dean Cain was a good Superman, kinda ruined the whole thing. Plus the show wasn't that good, should of been called "Murder She Wrote with Superman".

I don't see a problem w/ Dean Cain either, but Brendan Fraser would work, too, at least my wife thinks so.

If Christopher Reeve can pull it off, I'm sure Josh Hartnett should have no problem.

Indeed.

Also, Superman should not have a bowl cut.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Josh Hartnett, who tested for the project, has elected not to portray the Man of Steel in Warner Bros.' Superman adaptation from director Brett Ratner.

A new trio of actors has emerged as top choices: Brendan Fraser, Paul Walker and newcomer Matthew Bomer, whose only credits include the daytime dramas Guiding Light and All My Children.

The studio is trying to make test deals for the actors, with hopes of putting them in front of the camera sometime next week.

That's the Best Bad decision Josh Hartnett will ever make!

Interesting to see Paul Walker's name added to the mix. While he's not half the tool Hartnett is, i can't see him as superman.

Come on Brendan Fraser!

Thanks for the warning on the Joe Millionaire pick, now I'm blind. Thankfully I'm such a skilled typist I can still respond.

Why do they keep making Supes less and less "MANLY"????

He should be a strapping All-American type with a body to match. He should be Tall and built.

I'm saying it now, cast Tom Welling as Supes. At this point, I'd be far more comfortable with him in the roles than anyone, especially Josh Hartnett.....aka.....Tommy Lee Jones Jr.

As for Dean Cain, since he was not convincing in the least in his TV show, he'd be just as bad as Hartnett.

By the way, I could have done without seeing Joe Millionaire in a speedo.

I think Tom Welling would be a great choice... I can see him being Clark.. add about 25 lbs of muscle on him and cut his hair.. no problemo.

I think for right now he reminds me of when Supes had long hair..

Glad Josh couldn't commit. and Paul Walker would make for a better Kid Flash, Wally West

I've seen the original article they're talking about and I highly doubt it's true. Their's no direct quotes from anyone involved or DB's people. I think this is the same paper that said he was going to be in Tomb Raider.
