General concenus is Goldeneye is the most complete movie, TND was Bond at its best for half the film, DAD was good, but suffered poorer 3rd act, TWINE enough as well, poorer third act, I Brosnan alot, but it's a shame Goldeneye is the most complete movie of his, as the follow ups had potential to be better, hopefully Bond Eon productions can give him a great 5th send off, that's his best, with the middle three films as being good, but his 5th and 1st being two of his best easily.

I liked DAD still, I enjoyed all Pierce Bond films, it's just that he can do better then what's been shown, for whole film, not parts of it. Bond producers seem to respond to competing movies, and it can effect the Bond film, sometimes for good, sometimes for worser, hope Pierce's 5th is his best.

I didn't like any Bond film with Pierce Bronson. Moore and Connery were much better.

I'm really surprised on how well Die Another Day did in this poll. Maybe because it was new when the poll originally came out, so people overlooked its flaws, but I think it's by far the weakest of Brosnan's Bond films, and arguable one of the weakest Bond films ever made. (In fact, I completely agree with this Agony Booth review.)

Goldeneye by far. The rest are all pretty much shite, though Die Another Day actually returned the series to semi-watchability.

Goldeneye
Tomorrow Never Dies
The World is Not Enough
Die Another Day
Goldeneye was the only good film he did. Every Bond film after Goldeneye was rubbish.

I think Goldeneye and Die Another Day (Halle Berry one) were his best with Goldeneye a little better.

Another vote for GoldenEye for the reason some have already stated. It spawned the greatest N64 game. Many of a happy memory of late night multiplayer sessions.

I haven't seen TND or TWiNE, but I liked Die Another Day and Goldeneye. I think Goldeneye is the better film, although parts of Die Another Day are extremely entertaining.

Of all the actors that have played him, Brosnan IS Bond in my book. And I chose "Goldeneye".

Re: Best James Bond Film w/Pierce Brosnan

You know the Brosnan Bond era is looking better each day. GoldenEye was a great Bond movie, Tomorrow Never Dies made me miss the old days when action movies weren't filmed with spidermonkeys holding cameras on fishing poles.

I'd say Goldeneye also, not too bad I guess. But the rest are just poorly written and produced films. I'd watch either of the Dalton films ANY day over the Brosnan ones.

Re: Best James Bond Film w/Pierce Brosnan

Honestly, even the worst Brosnan Bond films were enjoyable in a Roger Moore sort of way. Yes, Die Another Day got ridiculous with the invisible car and the castle headquarters never felt right to me (I'll always prefer an office in London), but Brosnan had great charm as Bond and the action was always decent. No, I'll never buy Denise Richards as a nuclear physicist, but no Brosnan Bond ever got as bad as Octopussy or A View To A Kill. I never hesitate to watch any of them when they're on.

Goldeneye, though, is a stone cold Bond classic (except for the synth score).

Whaaaat? You have to be kidding me. It takes the thrill out of so many great moments, like when he's driving the tank.

Brosnan wouldn't harm a fly, which is a bit of a drawback in a guy with a license to kill. That being said his best is goldeneye, though I have a soft spot for world is not enough - sophie marceau is a goddess.

For it's weaker plot it goes down but w/ the addition of Michelle Yeoh kicking ass..it almost beats Goldeneye for me.

Goldeneye by a long shot. I didn't care for any of the others.

Re: Best James Bond Film w/Pierce Brosnan

I think the plot for Tomorrow Never Dies was a solid one, but it's execution was weak. Carver's a guy controlling the news and yet that's the throwaway when it should have been focused on a bit more. Perhaps show the progression that he can't be satisfied with just control of the news as opposed to flying straight to the nuclear madman angle.

Totally agree with what's been said that Goldeneye is best and the rest follow in order. Die Another Day was terrible, absolutely terrible; how the Golden Gate Bridge finale in View to A Kill can be compared to the Anotnov 124 flying forever with it's paneling flying off is crazy.
