How about Last Action Hero. You have Sharon Stone, Robert Patrick and not to mention Arnold as himself.

Don't know if its been mentioned, but Matt Damon and Brad Pitt in Confessions of a Dangerous mind was great. Also, in Jay and Silent Bob Strike back, the whole "Good Will Hunting 2: Hunting Season" was great.

Memphis soul and blues legend Rufus Thomas in Mystery Train (in the train station asking for a light). It's just one of the warmest moments of the film. Jarmusch even uses one of his songs "Memphis Train" later in the film.

Don't forget Ozzy had a cameo in "Howard Stern's Private Parts," and a speaking part as well! "What a weirdo," was the line.

I think my favorites have been mentioned; here are a few other cameos:

Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross
Billy Crystal in The Princess Bride
Sting in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
James Van Der Beek in Scary Movie
Tim Robbins in High Fidelity
Frank Sinatra in Cannonball Run II

cameos are considered "surprise" walk-ons basically, right? so would alec baldwin in glengarry glen ross, charlton heston in any given sunday, charlie sheen in ferris beuller, etc. be considered cameos? i would think they were roles used to enhance/further a script. i'm not putting anyone down, i'm just curious.

i would think alec baldwin's presence in notting hill more of a cameo then his role in glengarry.

As far as Alec Baldwin in "Glengarry Glen Ross," didn't he get a credit? And if he didn't, since when do cameo appearances make it to the cover art?

I included Baldwin because a Google search revealed numerous reviews/articles describing his as a cameo appearance in that film.

Example (from the DVD Angle review):

Every performance in Glengarry Glen Ross is a career high point – from Lemmon’s touchingly desperate Shelley Levene to Pacino’s cocky Ricky Roma – but, for my money, no one is as pitch-perfect as Alec Baldwin. As the bigwig sent from the real estate agency’s parent office to let Premiere Properties’ sad bunch of loser salesmen know that their jobs are on the line, Baldwin attacks his co-stars – and the screen itself – with a shark-like ferocity that’s imposingly terrifying. This speech arrives early in the film and sets in motion the film’s pressure-cooker plot, yet Foley and company, despite a series of brilliant moments, never quite achieve the same overpowering magnificence of Baldwin’s cold-hearted, gorgeously profane tirade. In this impressive Glengarry Glen Ross cameo, Alec Baldwin does the best work of his accomplished career.

I felt Baldwin's and Pacino's roles were the best parts of "Glengarry Glen Ross," and thought it was a huge snub that Baldwin did not pick up a supporting nomination, although Pacino did.

Dustin Diamond (Screech Powers from Saved by the Bell) in Made ... too funny

Goldmember, probably the best cameo movie ever.

Though not a "celeb".. I was totally freaked while watching FROM HELL when the Elephant Man crossed during a crowd scene. It was 100% unexpected and just made my jaw drop.
