Agreed. I'll take the previous two poll winners over Vertigo as Hitchcock favs of mine...but the best of 58 is

Yeah, Vertigo is a tad overrated and it's not Hitch's best film... But, it's miles better than Touch of Evil or anything else from 58' for that matter...

So, close this puppy up and let's move on to 57'...

and ditto to wendersfan's statement that this looks like a landslide.

i think the only other two films i have seen from this year are Touch of Evil and Bell, Book, and Candle, neither of which hold a.. um.. uh.. yeah, vertigo it is.

of course, i need to consult my viewing history spreadsheet to tell for sure if those are the only other two i have seen from '58.

Being the only film earning for than 1 vote, arguably Hitchcock's finest of his many masterpieces sweeps through to give the master his 3rd straight victory...

1) Vertigo (24 votes)
2) a few others with only 1 vote each!
