Yes! I like the strategy, make this a small scale film, similar to First Blood. If it's successful than we might get the bigger "Holy War" script.

Sly is done BUT i'll still download it
I just hope he still looks decent topless, problem with muscle men over the age of 50, their skin gets too leathery and loose even if they still have decent muscles, look at Ric Flair !

I always wanted to see the RAMBO movies go full circle and pit Rambo once again against Sheriff Teague, embittered and even a little wacko at the fallout Rambo brought to his once shining career. Amazingly, I always pictured Rambo settling down with a Native-American wife and having to be pulled out of a quiet, secluded life by forces from outside, so it's cool to see the powers that be are thinking the same way...

I would like to know what is meant by "the smackdown of the pc pansies." I get the feeling from this thread people feel there are no more great action movies being made, in fear of offending someone. Is that about right? I long for the 80's when PC was just a fad.

Damn how can Hollywood not come up with a Muslium plotline for a Rambo movie?
Talk about not wanting to make a movie that might make the Bush administration look good.
How's this: The President asks Rambo to find a terrorists Muslium leader who is responsiable for a U.S. bombing. The leader has been on the run for 4 years and since Rambo has been in the area in part 3 he goes in there to hunt him down.
Rambo vs. Muslium terrorists in the dessert!

As for blaming the "PC atmosphere" on the lack of action movies. That's ridiculous. It's like blaming the lack of hair metal on "PC attitudes." The only reason that there aren't more action movies like in the 80s is because R Rated movies don't make money (studios want PG-13) and secondly because action movies have sucked for a long time.
I know that it's easier to blame on society, but face it they stopped making these movies because people don't want them.

As for why we don't get more films like in the 80s...let's remember most of those films weren't really good movies. Fun, stupid, and violent. We get them occasionally, like a Bad Boys 2, but I don't look back on Commando and Rambo 2 and think "cinema has really gone down the toilet" even if those films are lots of fun. But a film like Bad Boys 2 should show PC isn't the rule of the road...as said before, pg-13 just makes a lot more money. PC hasn't a thing to do with it.

Remember though, Rambo is responsible for Osama Bin Laden taking control of Afghanistan.
If Rambo, didn't fight alongside the Afghanistans in Rambo III, the USSR would've controlled it more... and who knows how history would be different.
When did Rambo become a Native American?
And the age-old question, how was there a Rambo III when there was no Rambo I or Rambo II?

I think out of all the action movies of the 80's & early 90's only TRUE LIES had Muslium or any minority terrorists.

Personally, I don't care. I just want to see Rambo blowing shit up and hopefully topping Rambo 3's body count.

I didn't know America had an "outback"! Then again, I didn't know Rambo was Navajo, either!
Rambo vs. white supremacists? Isn't Stallone making his target audience the bad guys in this? Ain't gonna play well in the South.
