We rented it the day it came out... got about 30-35 mins into it before taking it back to BBV... it was slow, boring and didnt care about anyone anymore.

While I thought the first one was good, I was blown away by how much I enjoyed the sequel.

That plot device could be used in any movie at any time...why didn't they just say the Matt Damon character looked like Matt Damon?...Ocean's 11 was good but this is one AWFUL sequel.

I disagree, I thought that twist was sorta clever. It went on for a bit too long, but as an idea I think it worked. I'm not saying the movie didn't have flaws, but I didn't think it was as horrible as a lot of people are saying. I think some people are prone to hyperbole when it comes to big, overly-hyped movies that don't immediately live up to expectations.

I thought the movie was a complete mess and as good as some moments were they didn't come close to making up for the sloppy writing and direction.

I'm torn on the Roberts device. It could be seen as clever, but it's much easier to label it as being lazy filmmaking so it doesn't clash with the rest of the production.

I didn't like Ocean's Twelve as much as Ocean's Eleven. I think a lot of people's expectations for the sequel were too high and thus the sequel was a disappointment.

I thought O12 was incredible. The fun that the actors and the director are having comes through and makes it a really enjoyable film to watch. I understand all the plot points, and I think O11 is a better film, O12 is just extremely enjoyable for me to watch.

It's too bad Roberts was in the 1st movie because Zeta Jones has MUCH BETTER CHEMISTRY with Clooney. But there was nothing that could be done about that.

I liked the 1st movie but this one was just ok.

I was surprised that i enjoyed it more then i thought i would based on the reviews

It's definitely not as good as the first film, but rewatching it on DVD let me appreciate the entire plot a little more. Although the Julia Roberts scene was cringe inducing.

I had to force myself to stomach this POS film. Basically, I thought it was just a pissing contest between 2 thieves (Cassell & Clooney)

I rarely skip out on a movie, but O12 earned the honor. The beginning was contrived, but ok. However, the Julia Roberts as Tess acting as Julia Roberts was not only bad, it broke a cardinal rule of film-making: Never reference yourself! Actors can reference other actors, but should never reference themselves. It breaks down the suspension of disbelief the immerses a viewer in the story and reminds them that they are just watching a movie. And a bad one at that.

It was so bad that I rolled over and went to sleep. I just didn't care anymore.

This movie was pretty bad actually, I might have enjoyed it more if I didn't fall asleep.

I had very low expectations for Oceans 12 when I went to the theater, and I was still disappointed. It was horribly done. I liked both versions of Oceans 11 much better (and the Sinatra version wasn't that good, IMO).

Liked the first one but the second is more like a giant inside-joke between the top 5 billings.

I thought Ocean's 11 (Clooney version) was incredibly boring... skipped Ocean's 12, and from what I'm hearing here, it was apparently a good decision.

I'm thinking that most people who think Ocean's 12 was a POS would feel the same way about most of Godard's more postmodern work, too.

Most of his movies didn't have a script until the morning of the shoot, either. Wait, did O12?

I actually saw it twice, both on an airplane without headphones... it did look pretty boring.

I think I might be bored with that too.

I wouldn't say it was "terrible," but I was a bit disappointed. There was not enough thought/attention given to one big heist. Maybe I was expecting too much for the sequel to be like the first. But in O12, while having a lot of funny moments and I still enjoyed the characters, the plot was all over the place and for the most part very weak.
