I think Kevin Smith also had a HUGE GIGANTIC MONSTER feud going on with Linda Fiorentino(sp?) on the set of Dogma, and he has said that he will never work with her again because of how unprofessional she is.

I'm not the biggest Smith fan but I have the utmost respect for the guy & I actually know him & have actually worked with him. All these feuds simply come from the fact that unlkike 99.9% of every single person in hollywood or the movie business, Kevin Smith is brutally honest & a really normal guy. Unlike empty paper thin people like Tom Hanks, Susan Sarandon (insert your celebrity of choice), Smith like normal people, doesn't make an effort to get along with everyone & speaks what's on his mind. there are MANY & I mean MANY HUGE name actors that have tried out for Smith movies but b.c he doesn't like the person or thinks they are too Hollywood he won't hire them. And he clearly has no problem getting big names to work with him, he could have people like Affleck, Damon, Chris rock, J-Lo etc etc. work on pretty much anything he does.

I think we need a new thread on Kevin Smith vs. Hollywood. I wanna read more of those stories- Greasy Reese is hilarious!

I'm not a huge fan of Reese but compared too how many popular actresses that I cannnot stand(Julia, Meg Ryan, that 8 mile chick etc. etc. ) Witherspoon actually really doesn't bothers. But the one thing that I really don't understand are the people trashing her saying she cannot act. Have any of you seen Freeway. B.c she is amazing in it.

Reese needs to start doing some smaller, independent-type films quickly.

I like Reese Witherspoon. I like many of her movies a lot, including Election, Freeway, even Legally Blond was pretty funny.

I'll give you Hanks, but you could have thought of @ 10, 000 people emptier and more paper thin than Susan Sarandon. The people she's pissed off for speaking her mind are legion.

The story about Reese was part of a column called "Developing the Monkey" that Kevin Smith used to write for a comic website called Psycomic which has since gone offline. They still have the dozen or so columns he wrote about the casting of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back on the View Askew website. Very Funny stuff.
