I can tell you that it's really not as interesting as you make it to be. Plus, Harry Potter can't be #2 - it's not even out in the theaters! Harry will go against the epic "Hero" this Thursday. By that time Infernal Affairs will be delegated to #3.

How am I making it interesting? Watch the trailer and judge for yourself, I am telling you, people who lives in HK are all hyped up over it! My friend from there just saw it last night, he loves it and he told me that the next 2 nights showing are all sold out.
Look at the chart, if Chamber of Secrets is not out, why is it #2 on the list?

Ummmm....If you didn't check my location, take a look: I *live* in Hong Kong!
Harry Potter is #2 from one night of sneak previews. It is not officially out until November 19th.
I have seen the "Infernal Affairs" trailer about 20 times - and I kid you not. It has been played on everyfriggin bus on HK - not to talk about the documentary, TV slots, etc. Yawn.
This is the response between me & my friend:
Him: I have free tickets to Mou Gan Dou.
Me: Yeah?
Him: Want to go?
Me: Not really.
Him: Me neither.
Me: Did your friends see it?
Him: Yeah, they thought it was pretty good. But they weren't exacty bowled over by it.
Me: Yeah, I heard the same thing.
Him: Let's just save ourselves for Hero.
Me: I'm game.

This is pretty good. There's quite a few loopholes but it was an enjoyable movie. Tony Leung holds the movie together; Andy Lau just has one expression throughout the movie. The women (and what women!) were just used as vases though.
Definitely worth watching and gives one faith in the HK industry.

Just found out that the San Francisco Int Film Festival will be showing this next month. Looks like I'll drop $8.50 to go see this- haven't seen a decent HK flick in a while.
Any other opinions out there?

Hey Autotelik,
I think for a few dollars more, you could already own the DVD! No need to see it in a theater, IMO.
But if you want recommendations for the SFIFF, here's some:
Ten
Woman of Water
Blissfully Yours
Respiro
Waiting for Happiness
Friday Night
Together
The Best of Times
and some others I forgot.
