Hope they spend a little more time and money on wardrobe and rehearsals than they did for Gettysburg, which was a first-rate second-rate film.

Hell, I'll be there - I thought Gettysburg was a damn fine movie on a fascinating subject.

that looks damn cool. i rented gettysburg a while back and really couldnt get past the low-budget of it. seemed unreal, or something.

Perhaps it was because several of the performances were of sub-soap opera quality, a couple of major roles were badly miscast, and because Longstreet's beard looked like a dead muskrat had parked itself on Berrenger's chin?

something like that.

looking at the trailer, i see a couple 'epic battles' but its rated PG-13. the civil war was a considerably grosteque war...
