I think that Own Wilson is becoming pretty well known now that Behind Enemy Lines came out along with some other more recent theater releases. He's in a new one with Jackie Chan this February that just looks hilarious. I'm becoming a fan of his work. I think he's naturally a funny guy. Comedies now-a-days don't really make me laugh like some of the older ones do, but he just gets me for some reason. Anyone feel this way? You can post even if you don't like him btw.

Yes, Meet the Parents was hilarious:
"What led you to carpentry?"
"Jesus Christ."
Bottle Rocket wasn't as good as everyone made it out to be. Wasn't impressed. I Spy, Shanghai Noon, Zoolander, though, they are hilarious.

How about his performance as Edward Applebee in Rushmore.Sure we only saw him in a picture, but he played the part great.
Being seriously i've always been a fan of Owen Wilson. From Bottle Rocket to I Spy,this guy's hilarious.IMO he's one of the most underrated actors in hollywood.By the way he had a great scene in The Cable Guy.

I like his brand of comedy. Kinda guy I'd like to share a beer with and bs all night. He always cracks me up in Armageddon and Shanghai Noon.

Don't forget the Haunting.
I loved the way he was always jokingly making up theories that turned out to be what had actually happened.

I think the thing that sets him apart is the fact that he isn't in movies with a bunch of horny teenagers trying to make a name for themselves by stretching the perversion limits. He is funny without being perverted and without using the shock factor with all his lines. Just a naturally funny guy. He definitly doesn't need a script to be funny.

I will not argue that he isn't funny. I think he's hilarious. I just don't want to see him go near action-adventure roles like Behind Enemy Lines.

I thought he was better in that than Zoolander. I thought BHL's was great. My own personal opinion of course. Originally posted by Dr. DVD

Behind Enemy Lines was a steaming pile of garbage, but I don't necessarily blame him for that.
I do remember that he had a few decently-timed lines in Armageddon, but his was such a bit part that I couldn't get much of a read on his acting abilities.
He was also in one of the 90 trillion Jennifer Aniston films, as I recall.
I, too, must confess that it's hard getting past the weird dent in his nose.

The deal with BEHIND ENEMY LINES was that it was pretty much a navy recruitment tape.
Remember when hyping the movie they kept running adds to enlist now? They might aswell have just done a flat out "One of us" chant through out it all.
